|CIS Structure Information|
- "Fear. A Jedi spends his whole life training against it. But at the Citadel, breaking Jedi is our specialty. Within these walls, they will learn to fear us. And if not, they die.
- ―Warden Osi Sobeck
The Citadel was built long before the Clone Wars. It was orignally designed to hold rogue Jedi.
During the Clone Wars, it was captured by the Confederacy of Independent Systems and became one of their most isolated holding facility. It was run the sadistic warden, Commander Osi Sobeck. It was also proctected by a Confederate Fleet.
At one point during the Clone Wars, it held Jedi Council Member, General Even Piell, Capt. Wilhuff Tarkin, and the rest of their officers. General Piell held information on the Nexus Route, which would give the separatists a way of attacking of coruscant. The republic then launched a rescue operation. Osi Sobeck was alerted to their presence. Sobeck and his droid kept trying to capture the Jedi and their troops.
After their escape ship, Sobeck unleashed his Anoobas to track them down. Though Piell was killed, his information was passed onto the Jedi Tano and Capt. Tarkin. Sobeck then found the Jedi's team on a island. After Sobeck was shot down, he tried to kill tarkin to prevent him from giving the information. Unfortunately sobeck was killed by Tano and the team was rescued with the information in tact.
Structure & Security MeasuresEdit
The Citadel was one of the CIS's most isolated holding facilities.
Alongside it's holding cell, the Citadel had a command center where Sobeck was able to monitor everything that could happen in the Citadel via video screen with the help of a few security droids and the tactical droid, K2-B4.The room had audio control which enabled contact between the command center, starships and certain people as Count Dooku from outside the planet.
The Citadel had many security measures, such as:
- Electriefied walls
- Magnetic ceilings
- Ray Shields
- Wall turrets
Osi Sobeck also kept a couple of Anoobas, which he and his droids used to track down prisoners.
